CIGOS Conference 2013: Construction and Sustainable development
After the success of the first CIGOS conference which took place in Paris in 2010, on the theme of subterranean works and high-rise buildings, Lyon welcomed, the second edition based on construction and sustainable development on April 4th and 5th 2013. A large number of French and Vietnamese scientists as well as experts,specialists in environment and sustainable construction participated in this colloquium.
Hosted by the AVSE (association of Vietnamese scientists and experts), INSA, ERAI, ENTPE, INDURA, the French-Vietnamese conference aimed at promoting sustainable development contruction and urban management in Vietnam. It was also the opportunity for French and Vietnamese scientists and engineers to meet and share their knowledge and experience in order to tighten the scientific, academic, economic and technical cooperation between both countries.
His Excellency Chi Dung, the Ambassador of Vietnam as well as the participants had acknowledged this initiative which will allow to strenghten the transfers of technologies and expertise between Vietnamese and French companies.

Comité de Pilotage de la Région Malopolska et de la Région Rhône-Alpes et inauguration des nouveaux locaux d'ERAI Pologne
A l’occasion du Comité de Pilotage de la Région Malopolska et de la Région Rhône-Alpes, dans le cadre de l’accord de coopération signé en juin 2001, les nouveaux locaux d’ERAI en Pologne ont été inaugurés le 8 avril.
Etaient entre autres présents : Monsieur Bernard SOULAGE, Vice-Président délégué à l’Europe et aux relations internationales de la Région Rhône-Alpes, Monsieur Jacek Krupa, Membre du Conseil de la Région de Malopolska, Monsieur Alain SCHNEIDER, Adjoint du Consul Général de France à Cracovie, des conseillers régionaux Rhône-Alpes Madame Catherine PIDOUX (Groupe PRG), Madame Sarah PEILLON (Groupe PSEA) et Monsieur Belkacem LOUNES (Groupe EEV), Monsieur Pierre-Jean Baillot, Directeur General Adjoint d’ERAI, Madame Aneta Młodzik, Directrice ERAI Pologne….

Invitation of Chinese journalists in Rhône-Alpes
On March the 26th 2013, nine Chinese economic journalists, came to Rhône-Alpes in preparation for Mr François Hollande's visit in China at the end of April 2013. Carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the main objective of the visit was to discover the global competitiveness of our industries and the excellency of growing sectors in the territory.
It also provided the opportunity for these journalists from well-established Medias (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou) to exchange with Mr Jean-Jacques Queyranne President of the Rhône-Alpes Regional Council, Maurice Vincent-Mayor of Saint-Etienne and Pierre Jean Baillot Deputy Chief Executive Officer- ERAI. They also had the opportunity to visit the pole of competitiveness Lyonbiopôle and the City of design in Saint-Etienne. An official dinner was organised during which they met representatives of companies such as Maison Lejaby, Bleustar Silicones and Bank of China Lyon Branch.
They mainly acknowknowledged the efforts of the region Rhône-Alpes as regard to innovation, R&D in the pharmaceutical sector and the foreign investments.

ERAI and CCI Nord-Isere: Together for a mission in South of China
September 19th to 27th, 2012
In the occasion of China Asean Exhibition (CA Exhibition) which took place last September, ERAI and the CCI Nord-Isere (represented by its Vice-president Mr Jean-Pierre Girard), carried out a mission in South of China specifically in the cities of Nanning, Shenzhen and Shanghai.
From 21st - 25th of September 2012, the 9th China Asean Exhibition took place in Nanning, in the county of Guangxi. For this occasion, ERAI and the CCI Nord-Isere were invented to the inauguration ceremony, followed by an official lunch in the presence of Guangxi’s Governor and a large number of companies in various business sectors.
The CCI Nord-Isere gained the opportunity to benefit from ERAI’s network in the city of Canton, and also to meet with French companies settled there. After this mission, both economic partners should therefore tackle the Chinese market more effectively.
The positive outcome of the mission, has led ERAI and the CCI Nord-Isere to plan for further projects in 2013.

ERAI welcomed delegates from the International Chamber of Commerce of Shanghai
A delegation from the International Chamber of Commerce of Shanghai (COIC SH), led by its Secretary General, Mr. SONG Cheng Yong, with several companies in business sectors such as air transport infrastructure or pharmaceutical, came to Lyon in November 29th, 2012.
The purpose of this visit was to take the opportunity to collaborate with ERAI, and also to spot out growing sectors in Rhône-Alpes.

Satisfactory performance of POLLUTEC 2012
The POLLUTEC Fair, held in Lyon from November 27th to 30th 2012, gathered as previously, a large number of exhibitors, professionals, visitors and delegates from around the world.
The Region Rhône-Alpes welcomed the Argentinean delegation, country of honour during this 2012 edition. Receiving this delegation in the Rhône-Alpes territory, after Mr Queyranne’s mission in Argentina at the end of October 2012, was to:
• Confirm the potential areas of cooperation in the field of environment, energy and clean technologies
• Heighten the Argentinean delegation’s awareness of the policy of Poles and clusters of the Region Rhône-Alpes
• Present to the delegation the potential of the Region in renewable energy and cleantechs.
