The Canadian expert discovered the strengths of Rhône-Alpes, allowing him to think about some trade and technologic cooperations between the two regions. In visiting the Rhône-Alpes region and in meeting with the key regional actors, Francis Létourneau turned into a spokesperson of his region.
Visits on the program: the Environment city, the Concept of individual house, the electric car, and to finish, meetings with the formation center Saint Gobain Placo-Isover of Chambéry, the “Grands Ateliers de l’Isle d’Abeau” and Neopolis.
The low cost of energy, a limited regulation, a certification system voluntary based and a high wood quantity as raw material… All of these factors could have drive the Quebec industry to overlook the question of environmental protection. However, the region of Quebec bid for the development of green buildings.
